Clinton = health care and the economy. Clinton addressed trumps personal qualities and social issues and therefore his female supporters did not hear her speak on issues. What trumps female supporters heard her talk about, didn"t matter to them. Democrat females heard trump talk about immigration and personal qualities. No one cares about personal qualities, so it is a bad category to score high in. Republican females heard trump talk about immigration and the economy. This is what the female republicans cared about, so they favoured trump. Message of dangerous immigrants is aimed at parents (moms) and women. Therefore some people saw that trump was representing their issues better than clinton. They did the same thing in 2016, but this came as a surprise. Black people and hispanics voted more heavily for trump. All four categories (white, hispanic, black and asian) overall shifted in favour of republican. However, hispanics, blacks and asians still voted heavily democrat.
