Blindsight (how much are we really conscious of?) Reflexes automatic, stereotyped movement produced as a result of direct stimulus. Electrical stimulation of nerve in frogs leg caused muscle contraction even when detached from body. Specific nerve energies nature of perception defined by the pathway over which sensory information is carried. Experimental ablation in rabbits and pigeons function of a brain region is inferred by oberserving behavior in animals that are no longer to perform after that area is damaged. Father of mind, modularity of mind started interest between brain/behavior. Patient tan damage to left hemisphere impaired speaking. Used electrical stimulation on dogs brains to understand function.
