What are the functions of art/media: information main source of information about death. Just like we need sex education to deal with the myths on the internet, we should need death education in school (media is the primary source for both. Our expectations shaped by the media: evocation serves an emotional response (evoke and emotional reaction can go in a variety of directions) Death is a powerful propaganda tool (cant avoid it, it applies to everyone gets everyone"s attention) Powerful tool since so many emotions are linked to it and it applies to everyone: persuasion some combination of the above two (provide some information to invoke a response) Axe deodorant commercial that causes axe to transcend death . A call to action that is an outdrove of 1 & 2. Can never capture the entire story (make choices on what to show business of story telling)
