Document Summary
Nurture develops overtime, learned, differs with experience. Nature (cid:523)(cid:498)innate(cid:499)(cid:524) present at birth, no learning, uniform regardless of experience. Nature is wrong because teeth aren"t present at birth, puberty, e. t. c. Yes you have innate capacity for some things, but sometimes you need experience (ex. tan, calluses) Prepared learning = learning that occurs more readily than expected by pure associations. Monkeys raised in lab and not exposed to a lot. Some shown video alternating between snake and scared rhesus monkey, some shown video alternating between flower and scared rhesus monkey. Later put in room where they could get food by going past snake or flower before, very afraid now no get that shit away from me ew. Blank slate hypothesis for snake and flower should be the same because they had never seen either. Pre and post latency of flowers have no change! Post latency of snake (although just rubber in reality) is much higher!
