Discourse is not a transparent of mutual means of describing. There is nothing w/out discourse according to foucault. Of areas that were of interests during the victorian era: hysterical women. Three discourses lead to a discussion of normal sexuality : power: classification, knowledge: marginalization (criminal offenses + mental illness, order: systemized control sexuality. Physicians became a person who receives confessions of slus of abnormal sexuality. Homosexuality is not an act, but it becomes an identity. Something biologically wrong which let them have this identity.
