Ideology- everything that we think is natural but is actually socially constructed. Shepard: freedom of the press and journalism ethics in the internet age. Example used in text was in regards to the pro-ana (pro anorexia) websites that should women with anorexia saying how it was a good thing (but since it is out there it is no longer in the private screen) The internet age requires rethinking of traditional theories of freedom of the press and journalism ethics. Journalism has always been black and white but with blogging comes a new grey areas. Sheppard believes that switching up old frameworks can make room for the internet age.
