This means sociology was born in western europe. Its was transplanted to north america, in the. 19th century, sociology was at first the work of individual pioneers, they developed their own ideas. They established the 4 basic schools of thought followed by an expansion, the 4 schools of thought expanded differently after being taken by different people. 20 and 21st century they expanded and finalized.
