Document Summary

Anatomy: study of internal and external structures of the body & physical relaionships. Physiology: study of funcion and how living organisms preform their vital funcions. Homeostasis (process of maintaining regular/constant environment) required for survival. Where the environment doesn"t change much, constant temp, nutrient concentraions. Each cell is specialized to do a speciic task. Drinking too much water over hours because it changes the regulaion. Negaive feedback (decreasing the change in the internal environment) Internal environment, there is an ideal value set point. Body core is sensiive to temperature change (body 37 degrees) Temperature sensors throughout the body (mainly in brain) Regulator signals issue to change the level of parameter back towards set point (down or up) Hypothalamus receptor detect increase in temperature, which iniiates sweaing. A change in parameter that triggers a response that makes more changes. The process of labour and delivery (start and don"t stop) Locomoion: movement organisms take from one place to another.
