Adult- basically all other books for other ages. the vocabulary changes, and the language. Craft considerations character ages mid-grade (readers 8-13) - still taking vocabulary levels into account. Few outright works of tragedy for this age group. Length of book the adult reader is assumed to be 18 and up. The ambivalent or tragic ending is completely acceptable. Characters can be any age, but the idea of the "adult gaze" is ever-present.
