Authoritative parenting - characterized by high responsiveness and high demands. Parents are responsive to the child"s emotional needs while having high standards, they set limits and are very consistent in enforcing boundaries. Authoritarian parenting - high demands and low responsiveness. High expectations of their children, yet provide very little in the way of feedback and nurturance. Permissive / indulgent parenting - low demands with high responsiveness.
