People who were conquered converted to muslim. Iran (persia) most of them converted to muslim but didn"t stop thinking about themselves as persians. Central asia were mostly consisted of tribal groups. Some of them were successful for conquering neighbours etc. Big wave of nomadic people conquering areas.
