Nurul Hanisah Kamarul Zaman (18499129) Week 3 HIST 103 101 Non-European Leaders’Views on Their Civilization Compared to the European Civilization Rapid progress of civilization in the European countries at the end of the 19 century was mostly factored by the period of Industrial Revolution which began in England. The progress was then followed by other European countries which is evident from the size of territory colonized by them. Colonialism, a process in which the dominant powers gain control over the inferior countries cause the colonized to develop new perspectives regarding the monarchy institution, the political structure, and the education system. These perspectives are obtained from the speeches by Dadabhai Naoroji, Kido Koin, Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, and Kang Youwei. In Koin’s speech, he expressed his admiration towards the political structure in the European countries (Koin).
