Document Summary

Descripive in nature k has no physiological meaning. A change in plasma/serum/blood will relect a change in concentraion of other issues, even though all issues may not have the same concentraion. Many drugs require ime to distribute concentraion in these issues may be delayed compared to plasma/serum/blood. Compartmental model that includes poorly perfused issue the max. Each issue is represented as disinct compartments (or independent kineic units) solves the one-compartment model problem. The model is complex, and lots of the ime is not required to describe cp-ime proiles. Diicult to ethically determine concentraions in various issues. You can"t esimate issue concentraions in all issues based on plasma data alone. Represents poorly perfused issues as one big group the peripheral. The hybrid rate constants account for reversible drug distribuion to and from the central compartment. There are three possible representaions of the two-compartment model: central eliminaion: (pictured above) human compartment.
