Compare and contrast the different theories for why stigma exists. List and describe different ways of reducing stigma. A class of disorders in which people lose contact with portions of their consciousness or ember, resulting in disruptions in their sense of identity. Dissociative identity disorder (did) involves the coexistence in one person of two or more largely complete, and usually very different, personalities. Each personality has his or her own name, memories, traits, and physical mannerisms. Many people believe that therapists guide into the belief that they have did. Link between trauma and formation of these different identities. A sudden loss of memory for important personal information that is too extensive to be due to normal forgetting.
