Briefly stands on legs briefly when held upright. Begin to lift head and shoulders while lying on stomach. Cannot grab yet, but holds toys with 4th and 5th fingers. Stiff legs when held to stand (curled toes) Can reach and grab objects placed midline in front of them. Roll easily (front to back + back to front) Ulnar grasp: holds objects with fingers grasped to palms. Not all babies progress in the same ways. Parents excited once babies begin to move on their own. Infant"s ability to explore the world expands considerably. Many different ways to move around (no correct way) Belly crawl, then pivots on hands and knees, some begin to crawl. Sits easily with increasingly variety in leg positions.
