Socio-economic status has an effect on health & longevity. Canadians, in theory, have equal access to health care. Does this mean that people from different social classes can access the same services: no. There are class-based differences in how people access the health care system. The lower your so(cid:272)ial (cid:272)lass, the poorer o(cid:374)e"s health is likely to (cid:271)e. There are disparities in terms of how well people can access services: ex: private system. Fly to india etc. for surgery & spa during recovery time. Odds of individuals in food insufficient households reporting poor general, physical, mental or social health and multiple chronic conditions. Household food insufficiency is associated with poorer health. Middle (cid:272)lass do(cid:374)ates their food that they do(cid:374)"t wa(cid:374)t.
