Broadcast Journalism  it’s a process o have writer, editor, editor in chief, reporters, anchors, director, technical director, producer (only one to talk to anchors), audio person, computer person, floor director (doesn’t speak)  reporters work with editors  producer in charge once show starts o very fast paced  write in all caps to be easy to read on teleprompter o may need to write phonetically so anchor can say it  title, timing and directions on left, words to say on right  super short o can you say it in a breathe?  few numbers, spell them out when you have them  Title/attribution first  NO PASSIVE  it’s all about time  conversational, can use present tense  Zingers are awesome  colourful, descriptive language  no direct quotes, get the person to say it  very little alliteration unless it’s sports  editorialising-mostly for anchors , make sure you don’t smirk or shake head o have to say when it’s opinion  crawl-banner at bottom with labels  Snapper-recap of what happened (optional)  happy talk, anchors time-filling banter  Anchor pic (show anchor and pic of story)  V-O (video no sound)  V-O bite (video with
