If not then conviction stands and a conviction is given: probation orders: imposed on its own, as a suspension of sentence or as an add on to other options. Imposes general conditions on offender (eg. curfew) May also include more speci c conditions (eg. not to be near a school, or spouse, etc. ) Payment made by the offender to the victim to cover expenses resulting from the crime. Pain and suffering is not available through criminal courts instead the victim must le suit in civil court eg. throwing eggs at someone"s house pay property damage: fines and community service. Offender has to be able to pay it off. Ne option program community service instead of ne. Unpaid nes = jail: conditional sentences. May be served in the community provided certain conditions are met. Can only be imposed for offenders sentenced less than 2 years provincial. Conditions are similar to a probation order: intermittent sentence.
