Document Summary
Decomposition stages the complete disintegration of soft tissue leading to skeletisation pass through a variety of chemical or physical changes, in 6 stages: fresh; beings immediately after death, flies begin to colonize, in natural orifices in the body, bloat; bloated appearance, purging of fluids and gases, a distension of the abdomen, limbs become raise, may roll to its backside, skin ruptures may be created to release gasses, active decay; greatest mass loss, maggots actively feed on tissues, advance decay; little tissue remaining, largely inhibits decay stage, dead vegetation surrounding the body (cadaver decomposition island [cdi] is visible), caused by the release of gases and physical chemicals, dried; dry skin, cartilage, and bones remain, new plants may grow in the cdi, remains; hair, bits of sin, bones and teeth ( bones and teeth will become dry and bleached if exposed to sunlight), and insects loose interest.
