The hormonal problem associated with these symptoms is a tumour of the anterior pituitary gland; specifically in the somatotrophs (gh) Adenohypophysial tumours that lead to hyperpituitarism and hypopituitarism. Hyperpituitarism affects the cells that form the tumour and cause hypopituitarism of all other cells in the ant.
