Is compared to the way economists study the world. Communication reinforces bonds - language was created for bonds: evolution of a social animal. Survival, passing obstacles, living, reproducing and passing down the genes. Sociologists study unemployment and poverty, discrimination (the same as economists) but they do it from a different premise. They use science to determine what a human is. Our survival as a species was dependent on being apart of a group. We survived through the passing of like-able genes. They study the environment, family, governance and government. An economist would say a human is an individual who is only out for their own self-interest they are greedy but they are subject to their constraints. This is all scientifically incorrect humans are much more than greedy individuals. Humans are social creatures if we are not apart of a group, we die.
