ADM 1301 Lecture 2: Assignment 2- Issues Management
Document Summary
Tourism over internet is replacing the physical offices and travel locations. This is affecting business models, employment, costs, and also drives market changes. Many offices go out of business simply because the e-business is a cheaper way of organizing and planning trips. Customers are affected, the managers, the sponsors, the brand itself, etc. Lower birth rates, aging population and absence of employment in the industry is bringing a shortfall in workers, affecting every single department in the economy and in the tourism industry. The market for international tourism is divided into a number of different niches. The baby-boom generation is advancing in age, therefore the industry stakeholders know that customer needs and expectations are different. The senior market is rapidly growing and tends to be the one that is taking the highest number of trips.
