40 views2 pages

Document Summary

Communication is not a linear process between saying and hearing. Human communication involved sharing, understanding on surrounding and situation, etc. Interpersonal, when you talk to people think about who this person is, will our relationship be continuous, each individual is unique. In impersonal people are treated as objects, ex asking for the time at the bus stop or your water at a restaurant. Simplest way to improve your communication skills is to keep in mind who you are talking to, and is your relationship requires time for explanation (time conscious communicators get to the point don"t waste my time). Communication should be a meaning building process where both people are on the same page. Can be affected by the context (bar, funeral, home with kids running around) and the noise. Noise can be physical or psychological and effects how you interpret the message as well.
