ANP1105: MIDTERM NOTES: JEOPARDY GAME.  1) Cytoskeleton:  a) Microtubule: I form the mitotic spindle and I can also move organelles around  within the cytoplasm.  b) Centriole: I am the site of formation of microtubules.  c) Microfilament: I am composed of actin and can influence cell shape.  d) Keratin: I am a strong, rope­like intermediate filament found especially in  skin cells.  e) Microtubule: I am the cytoskeletal component that allows cilia to move mucus  through the respiratory passageways.  2) Organelles:  a) Mitochondrion: I have a double membrane as well as cristae and it is through  that I was originally a bacterium before I became a cytoplasmic organelle.  b) Ribosome: I can be free in the cytoplasm or attached to a membrane and I am  the site of protein synthesis.  c) Peroxisome: I inactivate free radicals.  d) Endoplasmic Reticulum: While I can also be rough, when I am smooth I am  involv
