There could be bias in research (research funded by a company to promote its product) Must say funder had no relation to this research. If no disclaimer that funder had influence, it is more suspicious. How has research affected society: physical activity, canadian or american institutions make health guidelines, nutrition, research has infected how we live our life in society, smoking, red wine. Majority of early published guidelines for pregnant women, said that exercise during pregnancy is wrong. Know we know that elite athletes can exercise during pregnancy. Way to gather research, and make sound decisions. It is systematically, and logically (for quality of data you receive in the end) How a physician will prescribe a certain medicine or talk to their patient. Ex: hydration back then wasn"t known to help during practice. Not drinking water was a form of punishment during sport. Research needs to be as objective as possible.
