Document Summary

Phanerozoic paleozoic era: between these two points, multicellular organisms will form in the oceans, the middle two points plants begin to move up onto land, as well as insects. In this time the vertebrate structure forms in fishes: carboniferous some fish come up onto lands and form reptiles. Also a major transition in plants in how they produce: continental shelf sitting on the equator, this is where the explosion of animals occurs. It is shallow enough for lots of sunlight penetration, its also a little warmer. Important because of how they fossilized: the animals died and drifted into deep waters where there was no oxygen so no decomposition occurred. Just release gametes out into environment: archeocytes are amaebocytes, now a day"s sperm is pumped out and the female pulls in water, which may contain the sperm. The sponge recognizes its own sponge: allow for cell to cell communication, the channel can be open and closed.
