How it can be taken up, transport into organism. Critical windows of vulnerability eg undifferentiated cells, embryos. Behaviour in mixture may not match individual compounds. Toxic effect may be different than effects by either chemical by itself. Does the same thing, same response or similar. Need a carrier to move through environment into or within body. Predator eats a ton of smaller trophic levels and accumulates. Smaller organism still has a small amount, but bioconcentration accumulates as trophic levels rise. Does not degrade or convert into inactive forms.
