Pharynx: nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx (order from top to bottom) Trachea: tracheal rings are not complete circles, most of them are connected to the esophagus, flexible, elastic, cartilaginous rings prevent the trachea from being crushed during breathing, 10-12cm, 2 cm in diameter. Lungs: 3 lobes on each lung (superior, medium and inferior, apex= superior peak of the lungs, hila= where the bronchi come into the lungs, come in laterally to the lungs, base at the bottom of each lunch. 2% go into the plasma and other blood components: surface area= 50-70 m2.
