It seems like there were sacred temples and administrative centres on the acropolis. The agora was a cemetery in the 8th and the 9th century. In the 6th century, it began to be downtown athens where the business buildings and public activities were. In the 8th century, the people of attica were organized in four tribes. Within the tribes, there were groups of phraty. They seemed to be military groups who had to fight in the wars. For the rich, there was a slight difference.
