Nonverbal communication channels differ with regards to: Facial expressions have a plus plus speed of transmitting information with respect to meaning and emotion when it comes to nonverbal communication. While there are some commonalities in nonverbal communication you will experience some challenges when it comes to decoding what the other person"s trying to say. Friendly bounds can be interpreted in different ways when it comes to different cultures because of cultural differences. Nonverbal cues can be very hard to interpret (ambiguous) sometimes. Nonverbal cues can also be nonlinguistic and multi-channelled. Right hemisphere of the brain (in right handed-persons) is primarily concerned with nonverbal functions of communication. Ex: analysis of spatial, temporal, emotive forms of communication, processes affective or emotional information. Left hemisphere of the brain focuses on verbal functions of communication. Ex: analysis or language, processes cognitive information that is received: the broca"s area is speech in made.
