Theory = something that can help you develop your critical skills and your ability to think critically: critical thinking = thinking analytically, understanding what is implied. Theory is based on sets of principals, understanding how the world works. Media theory = lens for seeing the world, perspective for fixing a social issue or social problem. Theory: has a purpose either factual or new ideas that we have to learn and grow to understand.
