Issues in writing: presentation matters, commons writing problems, careless writing, unspecified assumptions, failure to place study within published research, unclear research questions, vague and undefined terms use and re-define terms. Writing the qualitative research report: researcher analyzes data and write the analysis in back-and-forth reflective steps, in synthesizing, field notes, transcripts, and jottings from observation, using scientific steps and logical manners. Characteristics of qualitative research reports: author can act as a guide and move through unfamiliar interaction, and explain them for the readers, can be a problem of data saturation, uses expressive language and personal voice. Parts of the qualitative research report: introduction, summary of literature, description of data collection and analytical techniques, report of the interpretation and analyses, implications of findings, future research. Writing style or the critical scholar: foreground perspective of marginalized groups, expose existing inequalities and injustices, describe contradictions, compare findings with context, situation, to others or similar or differing groups.
