Article: i could have been one of the journalists killed in kabul [habib zahori] Former new york times journalist from afghanistan who now lives in ottawa. April 30, 2018 he read the first tweets about the initial bombing in downtown kabul, was informed an hour later of a second blast a suicide bomber carrying a camera to blend in denotated explosives. Knew some of the reporters who were killed. In the article by habib zahori he described feeling a variety of emotions when he heard the news on april 30th of an initial bombing in downtown kabul. He then went on to discuss how a second blast from a suicide bomber masquerading as a reporter with a camera detonated a bomb and killed 25 people including 9 journalists. He feels thankful to be alive but also describes feeling survivor"s guilt for having left afghanistan to live in canada.
