Corporations are social constructions that are created to make profit, but their hunger for profit, but their
hunger for profit and power acan lead to an out of control monster.
This can take over control and take over the world.

Limited liability▯ it is not a group of ppl, the entity of “the Fairview company” is a person itself.
Only concerned with their stock holders and not stake holders
Problem▯ “they have no soul to save and no body to incarcerate.” They are not like the rest of us.
Michael Moore: They only have the bottom: how to make as much money as possible in this quarter. The
problem comes in the profit motivation no such thing as enough. They put their bottom line above
everything else, even the public.
Definition: A side effect or consequence of an industrial or commercial activity that affects other parties
without this being reflected in the cost of the goods or services involved, such as the pollination of
surrounding crops by bees kept for honey
“Let someone else deal with that”
Ex: of a shark killing machine just like companies are externalizing machines.
We analyze corporations just at physiatrists analyze patients.

save the people from their poverty situations
Science of exploitation
They eventually find out that the wages are too high in that country because the people have become too
desperate, they move onto another country.
The chemicals used to produce some of the products we make use toxic chemicals that harm the earth and
us▯ due to cheap labour, cheap materials. Major cancer epidemic industry is largely responsible.
Harm to animals: experimentation, habitats etc.
Montesano RGHB on cows antibiotics, use to increase milk production but it causes distress,
uncomforting, very painful infection of utters puss goes into the milk when milking it. “not injecting it into
your cows, can result in a loss of profit”
Agent orange DDT Vietnam, caused 50,000 birth defects, harm to soldiers and Vietnam civilians.
Paid 80 million in fines, but never admitted to the guilt.
Harm to biosphere: nuclear waste, co2 emissions: Paper mills, waster being sent down the rivers.
Until environmental commodities can be sold, we will not care/invest in it
If the cost and getting caught are less than that of the profit, ppl just see it as a business transaction
