Seen as not feminine and having masculine traits, not gentle and caring. Visibility factor, it is the same amount but we are seeing it more because now their is media and cameras. Society thinks they are becoming nastier > moral panic. Swarmed and attacked by 7 girls and one guy. Ages 14 to 16, all white people. Media concluded that females are becoming more violent and more criminal. Perhaps a hate crime since rina was the only south asian, and all the attackers were white: another speculation was her gender. 15 at the time of the offence. Victims were forced to perform sexual acts to the pimp. Ycja changed their laws so her case was not protected, sentenced as an adult, 6 and a half years in jail, if sentenced as a youth, then 3 years. Her sentence was decided based upon why she didn"t show remorse and how it was premeditated.
