Legislation as the way out of some situations from up to this point. Using a legal framework is favourable but there"s problems associated with this; Although it"s the most promising, it not necessarily the best. It leads people to act in ways that are anti-social, violent, etc. whether they"re intentionally or not intentionally behaving like this due to drugs: precludes asking questions, we remain focus on asking individual questions. "war on crime" - the idea is that the way we"re dealing with crime should be combatted with equally resourceful sources. "innovative and new" is that coercive is involved with that: we"re going to be able to achieve justice by using those types of needs. It depoliticizes issues of crime (e. g. social problems). Drug use is bad - it"s a criminal activity and that means that the people engaged in that behaviour is bad but it"s not extending the knowledge for singled explanations: there"s no ontology reality of crime.
