Always fully explain the quotation you use. Integrate a quotation grammatically into your own text. 25 words of quotation:100 words of your own. Never start or end a paragraph with a quote. Reproduce exactly the spelling, capitalization, and interior punctuation of the original. Any changes you make yourself should be made within square brackets to set them off from the original. Is you find an error, don"t change it, put [sic] beside it. Indicate an omission within a sentence you are quoting by three periods (an ellipsis) Include within your own text four or fewer of quoted prose use double quotation marks to set off the quotation from your own words. When a quote is longer than four lines, indent it on both right and left sides. If you are just using a quote from an article that is quoted say (qtd. in smith 79)
