Document Summary

Towards a full-inclusion feminism: a feminist deployment of disability analysis. Full inclusion: refers to the educational philosophy and practice of recognizing all children as special" and accommodating them all in integrated, rather than segregated classrooms. Challenges to educational policy are one of the cornerstones of the disability rights movement, which stresses inclusion, accommodation, and integration as paths toward full attainment of one"s rights and self-determination. Context: the courts, the movement, and the academy. The legal context shapes so much of the disability movement and public perceptions of disability; yet, it would be misleading to suggest that the disability movement begins and ends in the courtroom. Disability activism is also about culture and politics language, art, ethics, identity, community, and independence and all of these spheres intersect, collide, and overlap. The fact is that ours (being disabled) is only minority that you can join whenever you want, without any warning, at any time.
