Women already held power in communities before colonialism, and colonialism took that away from them, feminism focuses on gaining that power not returning it. Suppose to trust a western concept when western culture already took so much away. Did not agree to gender roles that was presented by feminism. Find power in their own traditions not necessary from external concepts. Whole community raises children not just single person. Taken for granted idea that women are always under men, when in some indigenous communities there were sometimes that ideals were not there, feminism sometimes does not fix the cultural constructs. Talk as if indigenous communities are so far in the past.
