The longer the jews spent in the ghetto the harder it was to nd food. Would walk around the ghetto all day to nd a meal. Calculated a daily allocation of 700 grams of bead per person + 1/4 litre of milk per person. The jews rarely saw any of this. There were food shortages all over, germans were giving less. Children are hit the hardest, stunts growth. Jewish council did as best as they could. If they could not feed the children then how would the ghetto survive. Do you continue to try to feed the weak. Or keep it for the strong people/workers. Had to pay to take them to the cemetery but the jews could not afford it. Tax is still levied on the community. Conditions were so bad that 5000+ people died each months. Began earlier than most people are aware of. Dont even look at the corpses anymore.
