Intifada: palestinians recognized as a nation, origins: Israeli military occupation: strong military occupation in gaza & west bank, development of settlements (with bad conditions) Isolation of the plo: was kicked out of jordan and lebanon due to disturbances and was forced to move to tunisia, plo unable to show tangible gains despite its political situation in 1980s.
