The new ones coming out with will be linked to the sustainable development goals (sdgs) Poverty gc and citizenship: moderate poverty is living between - a day. Un we need the new goals are now highlighting children in poverty: un provides a venue where the nical resources required to ful ll the sdgs can be discussed. Mdgs #1 after 9/11 there was a lot more funding given to anthropology research as we wanted to understand other people and other cultures. 9/11 put the mdgs in a backseat for a while. Tuesday, october 20, 2015 they used a minimalist agenda to develop mdgs. They limited poverty to it"s bare minimum which came down to: hunger and lack of income. It used a very reductionist approach to a very complex problem. China: sub-saharan africa has begun to reduce their poverty rate but are still lagging behind.
