Subject stress has increased: quality and pace of life. High stress levels are reported on the east coast. Women are found to be under greater stress than men. Children and teens are affected by stress more than realized parents: lifestyle and development, presence of physical symptoms like headache, upset stomach, and insomnia. Many people turn to sedentary activities to relieve stress. Stress is a mental and physical response of our bodies to the changes in our lives and has been des(cid:272)ri(cid:271)ed as a (cid:862)disease of prolo(cid:374)ged arousal(cid:863) Stress itself is neither positive nor negative but our reactions to stress can be positive or negative. Stress can lead to psychological and social problems including dysfunctional relationships. Our reaction to stress can become habits that lead to health enhancing personal growth or to debilitating adverse health effects.
