Interprofessional educaion occurs when two or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable efecive collaboraion and improve health outcomes. Professional is an all-encompassing term that includes individuals with the knowledge and/or skills to contribute to the physical, mental and social well-being of a community. Collaboraive pracice in health-care occurs when muliple health workers from diferent professional backgrounds provide comprehensive services by working with paients, their families, carers and communiies to deliver the highest quality of care across seings. Pracice includes both clinical and non-clinical health-related work, such as: Regional issues, unmet health needs and local background inluence how health and educaion systems are organized around the world. Collaboraive pracice can be seen in each of the six building blocks of the health systems: health workforce, service delivery, medical products, vaccines and technologies, health systems inancing, health informaion system. A strategy that will play an important role in miigaing the global health workforce crisis.
