Often times people are familiar with rct, experimental studies. These are studies where an intervention is administered to one group but not to another and results are compared. There is a whole class of other important study designs where there is not an intervention. Conclusion of experimental studies: randomized control trial randomly. The treatment causes less people to get the disease. Not always possible to apply a double blinded study example: we"ve designed a double-blind trail to test the effect of sexual activity on cardiovascular health. Both groups will be thinking they"re having a lot of sex but one will be getting sugar pills. But how did we get to the point where we have the idea that rickets disease is related to lifestyle, sunlight and vitamin d: observations lifestyle choices like too much sun increases vit. He figured an alternative strategy was to have his own body to produce the vitamin by getting more sun exposure.
