Opqrs: ros: key findings for each system (ex: cardiac: want to know about chest pain, dyspnea, syncope/presyncope) (ex: respiratory: coughing, chest pain, pmhx, medications: over-the-counter, contraception, vitamins, surgeries/procedures, accidents. Inspection: colour, lesions, moisture/dryness, hair pattern/distribution, edema, nails: colour, shape, angle, capillary refill, palpation, temperature, turgor, texture (anything you can actually feel, moisture/dryness, heent (not done a lot, head/face. Inspect face: expression, symmetry: palpate: tmj, sinuses, tests: cn 5 & 7, eye. Inspect external and globe structures (if there"s pain when doing the cardinal positions it may be periorbital cellulitis: tests: cn 2, 3, 4 & 6, ear. Inspect: external structures, position: palpate: auricle, tragus, mastoid process, tests: cn 8. Inspect with otoscope: tm, light reflex, landmarks, grey colour: nose, nose: external position, nasal mucosa, test patency, tests: cn 1, mouth/throat. Erythema, exudate and edema: palpate: prn, tests: cn 9, 10, 12, neck, palpate: suppleness, nodes, thyroid gland, tests: cn 11.
