Relevance: if the premise of an argument are relevant to the conclusion they must make it more likely if they are true, that the conclusion is true. Ex: socrates is not guilty of corrupting youth he is my best friend (this is irrelevant as it does not support the premise) Non sequitur traditional term for an argument that does not follow. Types of fallacies (they are nuances: appeal to pity: they appeal to emotions of pity or sympathy when they are logically irrelevant to the truth of the proposition in question. Emotion has nothing to do with an argument.
