Notes: what is philosophy, philosophy is the study of basic ideas of knowledge, right and wrong, reasoning and the value of things. It includes studying questions that do not have a clear answer and deliberation. Questions similar to what is the meaning of life? are contemplated and thought about even though there is no clear answer for that question. The different aspects of philosophy include: metaphysics: It is a branch of philosophy concerned with the nature of existence, being and the world: epistemology: The theory of knowledge, with regard to its methods, validity and scope. Scientific method is one theory: normative value: It makes claims about how things should be and how to value them, which things are good or bad, which actions are right or wrong. Making them an integral part of human life. Ethics is the study of morality using the tools and methods of philosophy. It asks the important question, should we be doing this .
