There has been a decline of the role of morality and the law. She says that there has been a move towards favoring the law. Underlying that the premise that the market can do this is that they can do this by regulating prices. If you don"t have any kinds of regulations then gradually, the culture underlying becomes eroded further and further. As the unspoken rules, the rules beyond the law, gradually this erosion becomes something that is accepted. Something that was originally accepted as wrong but as soon as everyone starts to do it, it becomes accepted. We have an idea or moral ethical theories and turn to them when making decisions. His interest is to argue for a theory: accepts corporations as members of the moral community equally standing with other people. (no special treatment) What is nexecary to be seen as moral agents? somone is responsible in that they are accountable.
