Dasein is not a thing" and cannot be understood as a thing. The world is also not a thing", nor is it a collection of things. It"s a necessary misinterpretation it"s a natural one that results from being in the world. In being in the world, dasein is absorbed in the things it encounters in the world, so. Dasein has a natural tendency to interpret its own being according to the things it encounters in the world: to think of it as a relation between two objects.
